Paulina Sadowska-Garwatowska was born and currently resides in Warsaw, Poland. After graduating from Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1981 she became a painter and a book illustrator. She has exhibited in over one hundred invitational, solo and juried shows, and received many awards since 1981. Paulina works mainly in oil and acrylic and enjoys working in a somewhat realistic, somewhat painterly way trying to capture slight emotions through colors, lights and atmosphere. Her paintings are almost like alchemy. Summer colors are mixed together with metaphysics, allegory and light.
